Jaipur Pink Panthers
Jaipur Pink Panthers is a professional kabaddi team which belongs to Pink City of India, Jaipur. They compete in Pro Kabaddi League which is a professional Kabaddi league in India. The team is currently owned by Abhishek Bachchan. In 2015, there was a need to rebrand the emblem logo. With an extensive research on animal anatomy and multiple renditions to get the posture of a panther right, there was the new refreshed panther holding the logo.
The original logo
The year 2014 marked a beginning, and everyone was out to prove themselves. It was a territorial battle, and an aggressive panther symbolised his intentions of marking his territory right at the top.
The new year, however, the panther knows that he is the champion and takes pride in it.
He is calm, composed and sure of his own ability – yet looks aggressive enough to signal that he will do anything to defend his ground. He is a true warrior, full of confidence and is inviting the challengers to bring it on.
This was the starting point for the new logo. And then began the rounds of sketching to get the perfect anatomy of a panther.
It varied from levels of aggression, to the posture depicting speed, and the very stealth nature of a panther. The mascot also had to work in tandem with the badge.
The character design
Once the new character was finalised, there was a need to get the expression right and to have a range of emotion that can be depicted with the same mascot.
The aggression and the emotion needed to be just right.
The new logo
The new logo was designed for the champion that the panther is.
